ANFGM Water Spring Outreach
Al Ain means "the water spring", and the outreach lives up to be such by being an
instrument in the city bringing forth eternal life from Christ Jesus to those who thirst.
In February 1995, ANFGM Al Ain celebrated its first formal worship service held in one of the member couple's flat. It started as a small group fellowship led by Ptr. Jun de Jesus with 10-15 attendees. In 2000, Ptra. Sally De Jesus was appointed as
Outreach Coordinator for 2 years.
For several years, Al Ain Church had been desiring to have a Resident Pastor and Ptr. Roger Llarena was the answer to their prayer in the year 2002. He was transferred from ANFGM Sharjah to Al Ain and led the outreach for 2 years. In 2004, Ptr. Leo Tabelisma took over the leadership. Brethren from Nepal started growing in number. Bro. Singa Bahadur, an active member of the outreach went back to his home country in Nepal and started a church in his village at Dhadingbesi in 2005.
In 2009, with the occurrence of internal incompatibilities, Ptr. Leo Tabelisma and some members moved out from ANFGM and started their own fellowship.
Ptr. Jun took over the leadership for a year to stabilize the Church. Our God is a God of revitalization. His flock will never go lost and thirsty. Furthermore, the flock is rejuvenated as the outreach has once again found a haven,an oasis, of overflowing water spring full of the Lord’s glory and vibrancy.
In 2010, Bro. Aladdin Reducto from Mission Ministry was assigned as Temporary Overseer of Al Ain Church until at present. Apart from Friday Service, they facilitate Sunday Prayer Meeting, Tuesday mid-week service, Seed Group Bible study and Group Ministry Bible study to cater to the needs of the
congregation. Bro. Aladdin said that the outreach is like one big family with 120 members closely knitted to each other.
The outreach’s prayer as ANFGM Church begins its 23rd year is to establish outreaches in every province of the Philippines including the most difficult areas in Muslim Mindanao. Moreover, as all things are possible with God, all members of this congregation definitely hopes that ANFGM tent would be expanded across all nations throughout the world.
