ANFGM MUSSAFA
A SATELLITE CHURCH IN THE CAPITAL'S SATELLITE TOWN
In 1998, brethren led by Bro. Roger Llarena and Bro. Marcial started facilitating Bible Studies in the so called Industrial City of Abu Dhabi.
In 2002, the Mission Team led by Pastor Noel Saldaña and Bro. Alex Borja, together with brothers Gavi, Marcial, Nomer and Francis, revived the Bible Study with the intention to plant an outreach to residents and labourers working in the area.
In January 2003, by God's grace, the outreach had it's first formal worship service at Queenex accomodation with 30 attendees. Mussafah Church was then recognized as one of ANFGM's outreaches till then.
Pastor Noel Saldaña, one of the forerunners of the outreach, served as the first resident pastor from 2005 until August 2011 when he went home for good in the Philippines. The pastor has tagged the outreach as the "Body of Christ in an Industrial Zone". This makes the outreach distinctive. It was also around 2005 and 2006 when the Intercessory Ministry from the mother church started to thoroughly support the outreach by being present during Friday services and by helping out in the service program.
The members share effort in executing their ultimate task-evangelism. In fact, in October 2006, the outreach staged an evangelical mini-concert entitled "The Gift". The concert's highlight was a drama presentation, "The Convict", which was ministered by Mussafah brethren and SOWERs of ANFGM Abu Dhabi. It was crafted blend of mime, dancing and acting that depicted how God raises a sinner through His unconditional love and abundant grace. New souls were welcomed into God's family.
At present, they carry on with evangelism every Sunday in the mall and separate evangelism activity by SOWERs every first Thursday of the month. The outreach of approximately 50 members enjoy each other's company through Bible Study, prayer meets, food fellowship at the beach as well as fishing and crabbing.
The outreach is under the leadership of Bro. Rene Tuazon as temporary overseer who believes that God is continously working amazingly. He desires for more spiritual healing and gift of deliverance to each and every family of ANFGM so that people may see that we have a powerful God.
